What is RDMA?

RDMA, or Remote Direct Memory Access, allows data to be transferred between systems with significantly reduced communication overhead compared with conventional network communication.

Our implementation uses a compatible Realtek RTL8126-based PCIe network adapter installed in the primary PC together with a custom driver. Data is then transmitted to the secondary PC over the local network.

Unlike a traditional DMA setup, a dedicated DMA board and separate DMA firmware are not required.

This value refers to the benchmark/read-speed measurement shown by compatible DMA software and should not be interpreted as Mbps, MB/s, or raw Ethernet throughput.

Actual results depend on your network adapter, motherboard, PCIe configuration, secondary PC network interface, drivers, network equipment, cabling, operating system, and software workload.
